It's that time of year again and this year the was the return of the RAF Typhoon after a 3year gap and new to the Bournemouth Airshow for the 1st time the Saab Draken. Two planes that made me get my camera ready and gave me a chance to (try) and photograph these cool planes. I say try as in the past I had used a Canon DSLR and 250mm zoom, now I only have a zoom for my M/4.3 Pan gx7, a more enjoyable camera most of the time except with this subject. Due to the EVF I could not see much of what was happening and just hoped I had the plane in my photos. The other issue apart from not being able to see what I was photographing (due to washed out EVF) was the fact if the plane went out of focus I would just see a blurred image and loose where the pane was flying at 300+ mph. It is a better zoom than the Canon being 300mm so not all bad.
All in all was err not fun but photos I got some where good. Just wished I had the Canon and some sunscreen, was hot!.
